By default, all sites get a sitename.contentactivator.com address. You will likely want to use your own domain name (i.e. yourdomain.com). ContentActivator allows you to easily add your domain name to your site.
Generally speaking, step-by-step instructions are as follows. We've also created much more detailed instructions for many of the most popular domain name registrars, which can be located below, on this page. To point your domain to your ContentActivator site you must:
You must first purchase a domain name. We recommend purchasing a domain name through NameCheap.
Within the ContentActivator application, add the domain name into the Settings > Domains section.
Within your domain name registrar account (not within ContentActivator), update your DNS records to point your primary website address (i.e. www.yourdomain.com) as a CNAME to contentactivator.com.
Set your root/naked/zone apex/@ record ( i.e. yourdomain.com without any subdomain ) as an A record to 126.96.36.199 and we will automatically redirect requests to your root domain to go to www.yourdomain.com (or whichever is set as the primary address for your site ).
