For the ContentActivator application ( to build your sites:

We recommend using the latest version of one of the major browsers including:
  1. Google Chrome
  2. Mozilla Firefox
  3. Apple Safari
While the latest versions of Internet Explorer are much better than IE9 and below, we'd still prefer to never see that browser again. It has bad internet karma. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are automatically updated on rapid release schedules focusing on providing the latest features, best performance, as well as a safe and secure environment to browse the web. This technology enables us to provide our users with more features and faster performance with each new browser advancement.

ContentActivator builds websites ready for the future; a future where your website can be in everybody's pocket or projected on the big screen. In order to help our users create a single website that can display properly on such a wide range of device types and sizes, we decided on a minimum set of browser capabilities to build from.

Mass smartphone adoption has changed the way the world uses the internet. ContentActivator handles all of the complicated technical challenges of creating websites for today's internet, so you can focus on your content.

CSS3: The latest support for CSS3 enables us to allow the browser to natively handle operations that were previously handled by Javascript or the use of images. Less Javascript, fewer images and native browser functionality allow  for websites that look better and perform faster while requiring fewer files and smaller file sizes.

Javascript: Web browsers continue to get faster and the most recent web browsers provide significantly faster Javascript performance than the pre-mobile era of the internet.

Responsive: Truly responsive websites provide a much better experience across varying device sizes. Responsive design is more than just specifying breakpoints for mobile, tablet, and desktop. Our websites rely on an intentionally minimum set of breakpoints and are designed to stretch and shrink to fit the ever expanding variation in device sizes. Each device will download the minimum amount of data necessary to display your website properly. Once the necessary HTML, CSS and Javascript are fetched, the device will then fetch the appropriate image for its screen size and capability including detection to get bigger images for retina or high dpi devices.
